Hakeem Prime kicks off his summer on a high note with his new single ‘Fake Leaders’

Hakeem Prime is a Rapper, Singer, Songwriter and Producer from Smyrna, Georgia. The creative Hakeem Prime took off in his career with his 2016 single, "Slip Up". With the success of this single he took that same energy to the stage, opening for the likes of top artist like T.I., E-40, Russ & XXXTENTACION.

Hakeem as a young teen was a big fan of music from Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, DMX and more along with some of his R&B influences like Tyrese , Usher, 112 & Ginuwine. Actully starting of as an R&B act hakeem took the time to learn the ropes of singing and creating music as a producer.

Prime has played at a host of highly regarded venues, such as; The Room Concert House / Knitting Factory NEW YORK & BOISE /House of blues LA/Rio Club GA/ to name a few in exploration of his creativity. In the near future Hakeem would like to work along side the likes of Dej loaf, Rae Sremmurd, Travis Scott, Sage the Gemini & Tyler the Creator just to name a few.

Hakeem released his debut album “Signs” in Nov. of 2017. Produced & co-written by Keviin Amendola. Amendola also brought in Grammy Award – winning engineer Ashley Jones and special guests Jody Corter (Real People) and Grammy Award winning super-producer and singer Wolf Gangpander. Additionally, Vinnie Rummo (session legend/Joe Jackson Band)and well-known Brooklyn R&B musician, Andy Attanasio. Hakeem Prime – ‘This single is really personal for me. My inspiration came from me being super confident in myself. The song is really me recognizing that, and then saying when i give her that sign she knows that its mine. Talking about my spouse of course. sometimes you have to plan a date when you go to the club separately and then meet up. 4 play is the best play.

Hakeem Prime made his return to the studio immediately following that fall. Simultaneously writing and recording again, he obeyed his instincts, organically developing a seductively groove combined with a lyrical sense of triumph, ultimately birthing his new EP/MIXTAPE, “DeTOUR.” Along with a music video to the Fake Leaders track, directed by David Pouge and chloe Scott. with Common Vibe

Hakeem has now partnered up with world-wide renowned drummer and producers The Mekanics to perfect his developing sound as an artist and continue perusing his passion for music.

Fresh off the success of his last single “Slip Up” (which currently is sitting with just over 230,000 streams on Spotify) Hakeem continues to uphold his “Euphoric Vocals and Infectious hip hop style” to start off this summer on a high note with her new single “Fake Leaders”.
